Suggested Maintenance at 3,000 Miles
Get a few extra years from your car, truck or SUV by keeping it well maintained.
Start with a complete engine oil and filter change every 3,000 miles. While you should always consult your vehicle’s owner manual, many manuals recommend that you service your car more frequently than the manual specifies if you drive in "severe" conditions. Any of the following qualify you as driving in severe conditions: driving in stop-and-go traffic, frequent short trips and extreme temperatures, towing and hauling, driving at prolonged high speeds, frequent start ups and shut downs of the ignition, extensive idling, or driving in mountainous terrain.
Please refer to your owner’s manual for factory recommended maintenance intervals for your specific vehicle.
Every 3,000 miles:
- Change Engine Oil & Filter.
- Lubrication of all Grease Fittings on your vehicle, as applicable.
- Check all fluid levels under the hood.
- Check Wiper Blades.
Visit your nearest AAMCO Center for 3,000 mile service and we’ll also complete our 36-point ProtectCheck. We’ll give your car or truck a thorough going-over to make sure all major systems are in good working order. From vehicle performance to checks under the hood and under the car, your local AAMCO Center will help ensure your vehicle is properly maintained.
